McDonald's flips golden arches for Women's Day

Xinhua,March 09, 2018 Adjust font size:

CHICAGO, March 8 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. fast food giant McDonald's turned its iconic golden arches upside down to look like a "W" Thursday to mark International Women's Day.

"Today, we proudly celebrate the International Women's Day," read a banner on its website, with a big flipped W in honor of women, from its original logo M.

The upside-down logo appeared on its website and social media accounts.

According to the Illinois-headquartered fast food chain, six out of 10 managers in its U.S. restaurants are women.

The company also highlighted some female managers' stories on its website, adding that "without women, there would be no McDonald's." Enditem
