Three Mongolian heritages added to UNESCO's World Heritage List

ULAN BATOR, March 6 (Xinhua) -- The World Heritage certificates-conferring ceremony was held here on Tuesday after three Mongolian heritages had been included in the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization's (UNESCO) World Heritage List in 2017.

The Landscapes of Dauria, a comprehensive ecosystem with 236 species of birds, 34 species of mammals and 236 species of plants, was inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site at the 41st session of the UNESCO World Heritage Committee on 2-12 July.

The Stone Stele monument for "Mongolian Tanjur" preserved in the National Library of Mongolia was inscribed as World documentary heritage of UNESCO on Oct.30, 2017.

And Mongolian traditional practices of worshipping the sacred sites was inscribed on the UNESCO List of Intangible Cultural Heritage in Need of Urgent Safeguarding at the 12th session of the UN World Heritage Committee meeting on Dec. 4-9. Enditem
