Indian markets close lower

MUMBAI, March 6 (Xinhua) -- Indian markets closed lower Tuesday. Benchmark indices extended losses due to further selling pressure in banks, especially after Serious Fraud Investigation Office summons ICICI Bank MD & CEO Chanda Kochhar and Axis Bank MD Shikha Sharma in the Rs 12,700-crore PNB fraud case.

The benchmark S&P BSE Sensex closed at 33,317.20, 429.58 points or 1.27 percent down compared to its previous close at 33,746.78. Enditem
