Dollar hovers in lower 106 yen zone amid receding worries over trade war

TOKYO, March 6 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. dollar hovered in the lower 106 yen zone Tuesday in Tokyo amid receding concerns over a trade war related to possible tariffs on U.S. steel and aluminum imports.

At 5:00 p.m., the dollar was quoted at 106.14-15 yen compared with 106.15-25 yen in New York and 105.39-40 yen in Tokyo at 5 p.m. Monday. It moved between 106.07 yen and 106.47 yen during the day.

The euro fetched 1.2334-2335 dollars and 130.92-96 yen against 1.2330-2340 dollars and 130.95-131.05 yen in New York and 1.2283-2284 dollars and 129.45-49 yen in Tokyo late Monday afternoon. Enditem
