LUSAKA, March 6 (Xinhua) -- The following are news highlights in Zambia's major media outlets on Tuesday.

-- Zambian President Edgar Lungu said that he was happy that the HIV test-and-treat policy has been received well in the country.

The Zambian leader, when meeting a UNAIDS delegation at State House, said that the response has been encouraging since the launch of the program last year, resulting in an increase in the number of people willing to test for HIV. (Times of Zambia)

-- Zambia's broadcasting regulator has partnered with the Graca Machel Trust Women in Media Network for a mentorship program for journalists working in broadcasting stations.

Independent Broadcasting Authority director-general Josephine Mapoma said the main objective of the mentorship program was to empower journalists to speak authoritatively on issues of women and children. (Daily Nation)

-- Zambia's Finance Minister Margaret Mwanakatwe said her ministry has embarked on the implementation of public financial management reforms aimed at ensuring prudent use of resources.

The Zambian minister said her ministry was this year working towards migrating all other ministries and departments onto the Integrated Financial Management Information System and Treasury Single Account as directed by President Edgar Lungu as part of the reform program. (News Diggers)
