Dollar changes hands in lower 106 yen zone in early trade in Tokyo

TOKYO, March 6 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. dollar changed hands in the lower 106 yen zone in early deals in Tokyo on Tuesday, largely unchanged from its levels in New York overnight.

As markets opened here, the dollar was quoted at 106.26-27 yen compared with 106.15-25 yen in New York and 105.39-40 yen at 5:00 p.m. local time on Monday in Tokyo.

The euro, meanwhile, fetched 1.2336-2336 dollars and 131.08-11 yen against 1.2330-2340 dollars and 130.95-131.05 yen in New York and 1.2283-2284 dollars and 129.45-49 yen in late Monday afternoon trade in Tokyo. Enditem
