RABAT, March 5 (Xinhua) -- Morocco's King Mohammed VI condemned on Monday the cowardly terrorist attacks in Burkina Faso's capital Ouagadougou.

In a message of condolences to President of Burkina Faso, Roch Marc Christian Kabore, the king voiced his solidarity and support following these "despicable" terrorist acts.

He stressed that these terror attacks aimed at undermining the security and stability of Burkina Faso and of the Sahel-Saharan region.

In this message, the king also expressed to the president, the bereaved families and the brotherly Burkinabe people his heartfelt condolences, wishing the wounded swift recovery.

At least 16 people were killed and another 80 were injured after the Friday attacks that targeted the French embassy and the headquarters of the army. Enditem
