Spanish shares gain 0.63 pct Monday

MADRID, March 5 (Xinhua) -- Spanish shares rose on Monday, with the benchmark stock market index Ibex-35 up 0.63 percent or 59.70 points, to 9,590.80 points.

A total of 25 of the selected 35 large companies gained in the day.

Telecommunication company Cellnex advanced 4.11 percent, followed by electricity supplier R.E.C. and Spain's energy company Iberdrola that rose 2.23 percent and 1.96 percent respectively.

Media company Mediaset lost 1.39 percent, being the top loser of the blue chips. Hotel chain Melia Hotels was down 1.0 percent and steel manufacturing corporation ArcelorMittal went down 0.92 percent. Enditem
