NAIROBI, March 5 (Xinhua) -- Kenya will have another chance to play Fiji in the Vancouver, Canada leg of the International rugby Board (IRB) World Series on March 10-11.
Kenya, which is pooled together with Fiji, Spain and France in Group C, will be hopeful of navigating through to the Main Cup quarterfinals as head coach Innocent Simiyu goes for consistency.
Coach Simiyu is now five points off his set target of 50 points by the halfway mark of the series.
"It is down to consistency. The level of competition is always high and the boys have tried to match that. However, I believe with focus we will be able to secure our first series win and maintain the target of getting 100 points at the end of the series," coach Simiyu said Monday.
In Las Vegas Sevens, Kenya picked up 10 points after a sudden death 26-21 loss to Australia in the fifth place semi-final on Monday, taking their points haul to 45 after five rounds of the World Series.
USA Sevens, who were the champions from Las Vegas leg, will play in Pool A and will face Australia, hosts Canada and Uruguay.
In Pool B Las Vegas runners-up Argentina face England, who last year secured a Cup victory in Vancouver, Wales and Samoa.
Bronze winners Fiji are drawn in Pool C with Kenya, France and Spain while Series leaders South Africa will face second place New Zealand, Scotland and Russia.
The Canada Sevens is the sixth stop in the 10-round tournaments of the World Rugby Sevens Series 2018. Enditem
