Dollar inches down to lower 105 yen zone amid U.S. protectionism concerns

TOKYO, March 5 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. dollar fell to the lower 105 yen zone Monday in Tokyo amid continued concerns over U.S. protectionism.

At 5 p.m., the dollar was quoted at 105.39-40 yen compared with 105.69-79 yen in New York and 105.73-75 yen in Tokyo at 5 p.m. Friday. It moved between 105.35 yen and 105.68 yen during the day.

The euro fetched 1.2283-2284 dollars and 129.45-49 yen against 1.2314-2324 dollars and 130.23-33 yen in New York and 1.2263-2264 dollars and 129.66-70 yen in Tokyo late Friday afternoon. Enditem
