Indian markets close lower

MUMBAI, March 5 (Xinhua) -- Indian markets closed lower Monday. Benchmark indices extended sell-off on heavy losses in metal, auto, oil and gas, banking and PSU stocks after U.S. President Donald Trump fuelled concerns of a global trade war.

The benchmark S&P BSE Sensex closed at 33,746.78, 300.16 points or 0.88 percent down compared to its previous close at 34,046.94. Enditem
