BERLIN, March 4 (Xinhua) -- After a slow start, Bayern Munich turned up and crushed Freiburg 4-0 to establish a 20-point advantage at the top of Germany's Bundesliga table.

Freiburg grabbed a better start and should have opened the scoring 12 minutes into the game as Lucas Hoeler was through after Janik Haberer's pass, but Bayern goalkeeper Sven Ulreich saved the attempt on goal with his left foot.

As the match progressed, Bayern gained a foothold in the match and broke the deadlock as Thomas Mueller forced Freiburg goalkeeper Alexander Schwolow into an own goal with 25 minutes played.

Bayern gained momentum as Corentin Tolisso doubled the lead three minutes later after hammering home Thiago Alcantara's assist.

Freiburg recovered and were able to hold firm until the 54th minute before Sandro Wagner poked home from very close range to triple the lead for the visitors.

The German champions were not done scoring as Thomas Mueller slotted home his 102nd goal for the "Bavarians" to give them a commanding 4-0 lead.

Elsewhere, newly promoted Stuttgart came back from one goal down as Mario Gomez' brace helped to turn the tide against Cologne.

After the restart, Stuttgart extended their lead through Andreas Beck before Cologne's Milos Jojic reduced the deficit to 3-2.

However, Jojic's goal came too late for Cologne as Stuttgart secured their fourth victory in row. With the defeat Cologne remain at the bottom of the table.  Enditem
