KABUL, March 5 (Xinhua) -- Unidentified armed men set a school on fire overnight in Afghanistan's eastern Nangarhar province, local television channel Ariana News reported Monday.

Citing a local official Attaullah Khogyani, the media outlet reported that "four armed men entered Eimal Khan school in Mohmand Dara district at midnight and set it on fire," during which all the documents and books inside the school building were burned.

Although no group has claimed responsibility, Taliban and Islamic State groups' militants who are against education are active in the area. Enditem
