Xinhua,March 05, 2018 Adjust font size:

MUMBAI, March 5 (Xinhua) -- Indian markets opened lower Monday.

Benchmark indices started off the week on a negative note despite ruling Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) won Tripura elections, weighed by weak Asian cues and import tariffs on steel and aluminium in the United States.

The benchmark S&P BSE Sensex opened at 33,853.06, 193.88 points or 0.62 percent down compared to its previous close at 34,046.94. Enditem
