ADDIS ABABA, March 4 (Xinhua) -- The following are news highlights in Ethiopia's major media outlets on Sunday.

-- The National Disaster Risk Management Commission of Ethiopia said the number of people in need of relief food assistance will be announced soon. (Fana Broadcasting Corporate/FBC)

-- Recent reports on foreign media outlets regarding the number of people in need of humanitarian assistance in Ethiopia are "exaggerated and baseless", the National Disaster Risk Management Commission said. (Ethiopian News Agency/ENA)

-- Prime attention would be given for the protection of human rights during the implementation of the six-month State of Emergency declared in Ethiopia on Feb. 16, said Amanuel Abrham, deputy government whip. (Fana Broadcasting Corporate/FBC)

-- Leaders of opposition parties said Saturday the approval of the State of Emergency Proclamation by the House of People's Representatives will help to bring about peace and stability in the country.
