Update: Iran discovers black box of crashed passenger plane

TEHRAN, March 3 (Xinhua) -- Iran's rescue operators have found the black box of the passenger plane which crashed last month with all 66 on board killed, Iranian media reported on Saturday.
Bahram Parsaee, a senior Iranian lawmaker, confirmed the discovery of the black box, Iranian Student News Agency (ISNA) reported.
"The black box would be availed to Tehran Prosecutor General," Parsaee told ISNA.
The representative of the Iranian Majlis (parliament) would monitor the data decoding in the box, the lawmaker said.
The black box was found "intact," he added.
Earlier in the day, Aziz Fili, the deputy governor of Kohgiluyeh Province, said the rescue operators found the black box on the heights of Pazanpir, semi-official Fars News Agency reported.
On Feb. 18, an ATR 72 turboprop aircraft belonging to Iran Aseman Airlines took off from the capital Tehran to Yasuj city in central Iran at 5:00 a.m. (0130 GMT), and later crashed near Bideh village of the central city of Semirom. Enditem
