French embassy in Burkina Faso attacked: FM

PARIS, March 2 (Xinhua) -- Several locations including the French embassy in Ouagadougou, capital of Burkina Faso, were attacked Friday morning, French Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian announced in a statement on Friday.

"The security forces of Burkina Faso are mobilized against the attackers, with the support of the security forces of our embassy to reduce the threat," said the minister.

An interministerial crisis unit was immediately set up at the headquarters of French Foreign Ministry, he said, adding that "I asked to be informed in real time of the evolution of the situation." Enditem
