NAIROBI, March 2 (Xinhua) -- The following are the news highlights in Kenyan media outlets on Friday.
-- The number of Members of Parliament (MPs) and Members of the County Assembly (MCAs) could reduce if Parliament implements a report by experts who conducted socioeconomic audit of the constitution. The team formed in 2014 by the National Assembly was chaired by the Auditor-General, and it argued that the current number of elected leaders is above the global average and unsustainable for the economy.
The Controller of Budget, on the other hand, proposed the scrapping of the constituency development fund noting having elected leaders implement project contravened the principles of separation of power. (Daily Nation)
