WASHINGTON-- U.S. President Donald Trump said here on Thursday that he would impose tariffs on imports of steel and aluminum products, in a move he said would protect U.S. industry, but which experts said could hurt U.S. producers and face legal challenges from trade partners.

The United States is set to impose 25 percent of tariff on steel imports and 10 percent for aluminum, Trump said after a meeting with business executives. (US-Tariff-Import)

CARACAS -- Venezuela will hold presidential elections on May 20, the president of the National Electoral Council, Tibisay Lucena, said on Thursday.

ANKARA -- At least 875 undocumented immigrants were detained across Turkey on Wednesday and Thursday, state-run Anadolu Agency reported.

A total of 673 people were detained as they attempted to enter Turkey through its borders with Greece, Syria and Iraq on Wednesday, the report cited a military source as saying. (Turkey-Undocumented-Immigrant) Enditem
