CBOT futures higher in morning trade

Xinhua,March 02, 2018 Adjust font size:

CHICAGO, March 1 (Xinhua) -- Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) futures traded higher on Thursday morning with wheat prices rising above the five-dollar-per-bushel level for the first time since July.

As of 1546 GMT, May corn was up 0.75 cent at 3.8275 U.S. dollars per bushel while May wheat was up 8.75 cents at 5.0375 dollars and May soybeans up 3.75 cents at 10.5925 dollars per bushel.

CBOT wheat saw a volatile overnight session of trade as some traders took profit by selling contracts after prices hit seven-month highs due to dryness in the U.S. southern plains.

However, the market reversed the profit-taking tendency in the morning and wheat futures started to rebound to new highs. Enditem
