French shares drop 0.44 pct on Wednesday

PARIS, Feb. 28 (Xinhua) -- French shares lost on Wednesday, with the benchmark Paris CAC 40 down 0.44 percent, or 23.44 points, to close at 5,320.49 points.

A total of 28 of the 40 selected large companies lost in the day.

Oil and gas firm Technipfmc tumbled 2.12 percent, the top loser of the blue chips. French multinational automotive supplier Valeo was down 1.94 percent. French concessions and construction company Vinci edged down 1.64 percent.

French multinational automobile manufacturer Peugeot advanced 2.31 percent, the top gainer of the day. French life serive company Sodexo gained 1.51 percent. French multinational advertising and public relations company Publicis Groupe was up 1.27 percent. Enditem
