RIYADH, Feb. 28 (Xinhua) -- The Saudi-led coalition involved in a war against Houthi militias in Yemen highlighted on Wednesday that their humanitarian plan has aided 959,000 Yemenis, Al Arabiya local news reported.
The coalition spokesperson Colonel Turki al-Maliki stressed that 18,000 relief vessels are now docked in Yemen, while 22 relief posts are currently operating.
He also affirmed the coalition forces' commitments to fighting terrorism and to human rights laws.
Regarding the Yemeni government, he noted that it did not prevent media professionals from entering Yemen and issued instructions to them to facilitate their entry.
He added that the militants must abide by the international resolutions and stressed that the Houthi militias are moving children from schools to the front lines.
He also called for the protection of archaeological monuments and the need to prevent their trafficking and smuggling.
The coalition will complete its third-year war in Yemen in March. The war has led to thousands of deaths of civilians because of airstrikes, clashes between armed groups and contagious diseases. Enditem
