Share rally keeps Kenyan bourse key index in upward swing

NAIROBI, Feb. 28 (Xinhua) -- The Nairobi Securities Exchange (NSE) 20 Share Index sustained an upward swing on Wednesday rising 16 points lifted by continued rally of blue chips.

The key index was up 15.74 points to close at 3,750.75 riding on the rise of Equity Bank (3 percent), Kenya Airways (3.5 percent) and Kenya Commercial Bank (6 percent) among others.

Similarly, the NSE All share Index (NASI) was up 1.09 points to close at 181.77 points while NSE 25 share index rose 37.95 points to close at 4,563.42.

Safaricom was the top traded counter moving 10.9 million shares at a flat average of 0.29 U.S. dollars. Enditem
