HONG KONG, Feb. 28 (Xinhua) -- Hong Kong stocks closed down 423.94 points, or 1.36 percent, to 30,844.721 points on Wednesday.

The benchmark Hang Seng Index traded between 30,703.9 and 31,061.76. Turnover totaled 135.3 billion Hong Kong dollars (about 17.28 billion U.S. dollars). Enditem
