--The Southern Ethiopia People's Democratic Movement (SEPDM) has elected new leadership who will succeed Hailemariam Desalegn.

The Central Committee of SEPDM has elected Shiferaw Shigute as chairperson and Siraj Fegessa deputy, following in-depth evaluation on current issues. (Ethiopian News Agency/ENA)

--The Ethio-Djibouti railway service, opened on January 1, is showing today a favorable performance and economic benefits seen by both nations.
