BEIJING, Feb. 28 (Xinhua) -- China's National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) on Wednesday released a communique on the country's economic and social development in 2017, highlighting firm economic fundamentals and new growth drivers.

NBS chief statistician Sheng Laiyun said that the communique highlighted stable and sound economic growth, an elevation of overall national strength and international influence, progress of growth quality and a breakthrough in fostering new growth drivers. Enditem
