Complete power blackout hits Sudan

Xinhua,February 28, 2018 Adjust font size:

KHARTOUM, Feb. 27 (Xinhua) -- A complete power blackout hit all Sudan's states on Tuesday, said the National Electricity Network Control Center.

"A full shutdown of the network occurred at 9:12 p.m. local time," the center said in a statement.

Operations were underway to restore the network and connect the power generating stations, it said, adding that the power would gradually be restored.

This was the third time that a complete power outage has hit all Sudan's states since the start of this year, following the similar power blackouts on last Jan. 10 and 21. Enditem
