British stocks down 0.10 pct Tuesday

LONDON, Feb. 27 (Xinhua) -- British stocks decreased on Tuesday, with the benchmark FTSE 100 Index down 7.13 points, or 0.10 percent at 7,282.45 points.

Sky, the Europe's leading broadcasting and entertainment company, soared 20.50 percent, the top gainer of the blue chips. Persimmon and Evraz rose by 4.66 percent and 2.84 percent, respectively.

Fresnillo, an international mining group, was the worst performer in the blue chips, with its shares losing 4.43 percent. Associated British Foods, the British multinational food processing and retailing company, dropped 2.38 percent. Randgold Resources, a major multinational metal company, dropped 2.33 percent. Enditem
