Doubts over Bayern winger Kingsley Coman's come-back after ankle surgery

Xinhua,February 27, 2018 Adjust font size:

BERLIN, Feb. 27 (Xinhua) -- Bayern Munich winger Kingsley Coman ruptured a ligament in his left ankle in last Saturday's draw against Hertha Berlin. The French international underwent ankle surgery late on Monday but has not given a clear timetable for coming back yet.

Bayern have announced that Coman will be out for just "several weeks." However, French sports daily L'Equipe reported that he could miss at least two months, which seems to inject uncertainty into his path to June's World Cup in Russia.

Coman, substitued onto the court in the second half against Hertha, sprained his ankle in a challenge with Mathew Leckie. Without Coman on the roster, Bayern's offence on the wings is apparently less competent than before. Enditem
