State Council appoints, removes officials

BEIJING, Feb. 27 (Xinhua) -- The State Council, China's cabinet, announced the appointment and removal of several officials Tuesday.
Li Jinghai was appointed as president of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and six others, Zhang Xi, Gao Fu, Xie Xincheng, Hou Zengqian, Gao Ruiping and Wang Chengwen, were appointed vice-presidents of the foundation.
Ma Jianhua was named director of the Changjiang Water Resources Commission, replacing Wei Shanzhong. Enditem
