RAMALLAH -- Palestinian sources said Monday that Israeli occupation forces arrested 10 members of the Tamimi family from Nabi Saleh village during overnight raids throughout the West Bank.
The village has been witnessing intensive night raids by Israeli army, said the village head, since the detention of the Palestinian resistance icon, 16-year-old Ahed Tamimi on Dec. 17, after a video of her slapping an Israeli soldiers who stormed her home went viral on the internet. GAZA -- Civil servants hired by Islamic Hamas Movement in the Gaza Strip went on strike on Monday to protest "the disregard" of the Ramallah-based Palestinian Consensus Government to iron out their issue of being unpaid.
"The one-day strike comes to protest the consensus government's neglect of the employees' rights," head of Gaza Civil Servants Syndicate, Yaqob al-Ghandour, told Xinhua. (Hamas-Strike)

ANKARA -- Turkey has officially submitted documents to the Czech authorities requesting the extradition of the former leader of a Syrian Kurdish party, Deputy Prime Minister and government spokesman Bekir Bozdag said Monday.
Speaking on broadcaster NTV in capital Ankara, Bozdag said Muslim had been plotting terrorist attacks against Turkey and the Turkish Justice Ministry had delivered extradition request to Czech authorities. (Turkey-Kurdish leader)

DUBAI -- A-rated Bollywood actress Sridevi Kapoor, aged 54, drowned in her hotel bathtub Saturday after passing out, Dubai police said Monday.

ISTANBUL -- Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said on Monday that he discussed the ceasefire issue in Syria's Eastern Ghouta region with French President Emmanuel Macron over the phone.
