German shares up 0.35 pct Monday

FRANKFURT, Feb. 26 (Xinhua) -- German stocks rose on Monday, with the benchmark DAX index up 43.25 points, or 0.35 percent, to close at 12,527.04 points.

European health care company Fresenius SE won the most among the blue chips, with its shares up 2.67 percent. Automotive manufacturer Volkswagen and personal-care company Beiersdorf rose by 1.77 percent and 1.13 percent respectively.

German industrial giant Thyssenkrupp lost the most among the blue chips, by falling 1.45 percent. Automotive manufacturer Daimler and Commerzbank went down by 1.43 percent and 1.40 percent respectively.

Daimler was the most-traded share, with a turnover of 387.60 million euros (477.52 million U.S. dollars). Enditem
