BAGHDAD -- Iraq has extended ban of international flights imposed earlier on airports of the semi-autonomous region of Kurdistan for three months, a Kurdish media said on Monday.
The Iraqi federal authorities extended the suspension of international flights to and from the Kurdish airports to May 31, as the ban was supposed to expire on Wednesday, the Kurdish Rudaw media net quoted Talar Faiq, head of Erbil International Airport, as saying. (Iraq-Flight Ban-Kurds)

MOSCOW -- The Russian Supreme Court on Monday rejected a lawsuit filed by presidential contender Ksenia Sobchak to strip Vladimir Putin of 2018 presidential candidacy.
Sobchak, a TV presenter, filed the lawsuit in mid-February stating that Putin had no legal right to run in the election for the fourth time. (Russia-Presidential Election)

DAMASCUS -- Airstrikes of the U.S.-led anti-terror coalition against an area in Syria's eastern province of Deir al-Zour have killed 25 civilians, a monitor group reported on Monday.
