LONDON -- At least four people were killed and four others injured in an explosion at a building in the central English city of Leicester on Sunday evening, police said on Monday.

"There are four confirmed fatalities at this stage and four people remain in hospital, one with serious injuries," Leicestershire police said in a statement. (Britain-Explosion)

SEOUL -- Chinese President Xi Jinping's special envoy Liu Yandong met here on Monday with South Korean President Moon Jae-in, reiterating China's call for a peaceful solution of the Korean Peninsula issue through talks.

KABUL -- At least 28 insurgents were killed and nine others injured in separate incidents across Afghanistan on Sunday, Afghan Defense Ministry said Monday.
