Seoul shares open higher

SEOUL, Feb. 26 (Xinhua) -- Seoul shares opened higher Monday.

The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index (KOSPI) gained 8.76 points, or 0.36 percent, to trade at 2,460.28 in the first 15 minutes of trading.

South Korea's currency was quoted at 1,074.9 won against the U.S. dollar as of 9:15 a.m. local time, up 4.1 won from the previous close. Enditem
