CPC proposes to write oath of allegiance into Constitution

BEIJING, Feb. 25 (Xinhua) -- The Communist Party of China Central Committee proposed to write the mechanism of pledging allegiance to the country's Constitution into the fundamental law.

A clause which states that all state functionaries shall take a public oath of allegiance to the Constitution upon assuming office should be added, read the proposal made public Sunday. Enditem
