AMMAN, Feb. 24 (Xinhua) -- The Jordan Armed Forces (JAF) said on Saturday that it has been helping the internally displaced people (IDPs) from Syria during the past years of war in the neighboring country.

In cooperation with the United Nations and humanitarian organizations, the Jordan Armed Forces received injured Syrian IDPs on the Jordanian-Syrian borders and transferred them to the UN medical clinics and the international humanitarian organizations inside Jordan, it said in a statement.

"This humanitarian mission needs joint efforts between the JAF, the UN and international humanitarian organizations," the army noted.

The army also called on the UN and the international organizations to send more vehicles to transfer patients, and provide clinics with more medical staff and better equipment to deal with the inflow of Syrian refugees. Enditem
