5 dead in SW China road accident

KUNMING, Feb. 24 (Xinhua) -- Five people were killed and another eight injured in a road accident in southwest China's Yunnan Province, local authorities said Saturday.

The accident occurred at around 5:40 p.m. Saturday in Yanjin County after a tank truck lost control and crashed into an SUV.

Three people died at the scene and two died after emergency medical treatment failed.

The cause of the accident is under investigation. Enditem
