NAIROBI, Feb. 24 (Xinhua) -- The following are the news highlights in Kenyan media outlets on Saturday.
-- Opposition leader Raila Odinga on Friday started reassembling his troops in readiness for the 2022 General Election as he issued a firm warning that his ODM party was prepared to go it alone.
Addressing the party's National Governing Council meeting in Nairobi, Odinga said he had formed a task force to review the party's performance in the last election. Odinga was categorical that while his party was ready to work with like-minded parties in the coalition National Super Alliance, it was also prepared to go it alone if push came to shove. -- The government has defended Kenya's rising debt burden in the wake of criticisms including from the International Monetary Fund after issuing a second 2 billion U.S. dollars Eurobond this week. It insisted the country can pay the mounting debt. (Standard on Saturday)
