Urgent: Suicide bombing rocks southern Afghan city

LASHKAR GAH, Afghanistan, Feb. 24 (Xinhua) -- A suicide car bombing ripped through a main road in the southern Afghan city of Lashkar Gah on Saturday morning, local police said.

The blast occurred roughly at 9:05 a.m. local time (0435 GMT), causing casualties and destruction in the city, capital of southern Helmand province, a police officer who declined to be named told Xinhua. Enditem
