TEHRAN -- Tehran is working closely with Damascus to reduce violence in the rebel-held city of Ghouta in Syria, Iran Daily reported on Friday.

GAZA/RAMALLAH -- About 32 Palestinians were injured in cashes that broke out between Israeli soldiers and Palestinian demonstrators in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip on Friday, medics said.

TUNIS -- The Tunisian electoral authority said on Friday that a total of 2,173 electoral lists were submitted for the municipal elections scheduled for May 6 as the candidacy application concluded Thursday.

JERUSALEM -- The U.S. embassy will move from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem by May 14, in honor of the 70th anniversary of Israel's declaration of independence, the Israeli media Friday quoted a top Israeli minister as saying.
