ACCRA, Feb. 23 (Xinhua) -- Ghanaian President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo left here Friday for a 10-day visit to Togo, the United States and Germany, the presidency said in a statement.

While in Togo, Akufo-Addo is expected to resume efforts at mediating among representatives of Togolese President Faure Gnassingbe, the Union for the Republic Party, and the Coalition of 14 opposition parties, aimed at finding a lasting solution to the political impasse gripping the west African nation.

In the U.S., the Ghanaian leader will address governors at the National Governors Association Winter Meeting in Washington, DC, and take part in a World Leader's Forum program organized by the American Israel Public Affairs Committee, the presidency statement said.

While in Germany, Akufo-Addo will deliver keynote addresses at the 5th German-African Economic Forum in Dortmund and at the Konrad Adenauer Foundation's German-Ghana Business Forum, the statement added. Enditem
