Spanish shares drop 0.55 pct Friday

MADRID, Feb. 23 (Xinhua) -- Spanish shares fell on Friday, with the benchmark stock market index Ibex-35 down 0.55 percent or 54.10 points, to 9,822.40 points.

A total of 12 of the selected 35 large companies lost in the day.

World's leading retailer Inditex lost 7.06 percent, being the top loser of the session. Airline group IAG fell 5.19 percent and Spain's fourth largest bank Banco Sabadell went down 3.64 percent.

Telecommunication company Cellnex gained 4.48 percent, followed by real estate company Merlin and supermarket chain DIA that rose 2.50 percent and 2.32 percent respectively. Enditem
