CHICAGO, Feb. 23 (Xinhua) -- A small plane crashed in the Midwest U.S. state of Indiana on Thursday night, killing three on board.

The turboprop plane, a Cessna 441 Conquest, was flying from Indianapolis, the capital of Indiana, to the state of Wisconsin when it crashed in a farm field some 100 km northwest of Indianapolis.

There were at least three people on the plane and all were killed, local media quoted Indiana state police as saying.

The cause of the crash was still under investigation, while first responders said it was "a cold foggy night with light rain."

Among the dead were a Wisconsin dairy farm operator and his son-in-law, according Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel of Wisconsin. Enditem
