Sweden wins biathlon men's relay at PyeongChang Games

PYEONGCHANG, Feb. 23 (Xinhua) -- Sweden pocketed biathlon men's 4x7.5km relay gold medal at PyeongChang Winter Olympic Games here on Friday.

The Swedish team, teamed up by Peppe Femling, Jesper Nelin, Sebastian Samuelsson and Fredrik Lindstroem, clocked 1 hour, 15 minutes and 16.5 seconds to sit atop the podium.

It was Sweden's first Olympic gold medal in the biathlon men's relay event, as the country's only two previous medals in the event were bronze medals in 1968 and 1992.

Norway was 55.5 seconds behind to bag the silver medal. The third place went to Germany, who finished the race in 1:17:23.6. Enditem
