Indian markets close higher

MUMBAI, Feb. 23 (Xinhua) -- Indian markets closed higher Friday. Equities have ended the day on a strong note, with the Sensex gaining over 300 points. Sun Pharma, Tata Steel, Yes Bank and UPL gained the most on both indices, while Asian Paints, Infosys, and GAIL were the top losers.

The benchmark S&P BSE Sensex closed at 34,142.15, 322.65 points or 0.95 percent up compared to its previous close at 33,819.50. Enditem
