China's top procuratorate to oversee 33 environmental cases

BEIJING, Feb. 22 (Xinhua) -- The Supreme People's Procuratorate (SPP) will oversee 33 pollution cases in 11 provincial-level regions.

The public interest litigation cases all had adverse effects on the environment and on people, the SPP said in a statement.

The SPP has asked prosecutors to coordinate with environmental and land authorities to deal with the cases, according to the statement. Enditem
