Chinese shares close higher at midday

BEIJING, Feb. 22 (Xinhua) -- China's major stock indices closed higher in the morning session Thursday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index up 1.95 percent to end at 3,261.55 points.

The Shenzhen Component Index surged 2.07 percent to end at 10,647.65 points. Enditem
