Chicago agricultural futures mixed in morning trade

CHICAGO, Feb. 21 (Xinhua) -- Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) agricultural commodities traded mixed on Wednesday morning.

March corn were down 0.25 cent at 3.6525 U.S. dollars per bushel as of 1545 GMT, March wheat was 1.25 cents lower at 4.48 dollars per bushel, while March soybeans was 6.5 cents higher at 10.33 dollars per bushel.

Investors seem to be taking a breather from buying this morning due to some technical pressure and weak demand, analysts said.

Sales of soybeans so far this marketing year are down 13 percent from the same time frame a year earlier, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture. Sales of corn are off by 14 percent, and wheat sales are down 12 percent year to year. Enditem
