Air France expects flight disruptions due to staff strike

Xinhua,February 21, 2018 Adjust font size:

PARIS, Feb. 21 (Xinhua) -- Air France on Wednesday said one-day staff strike would prompt major flight disruptions and long delays on Thursday.

In a statement, the national carrier said it will maintain 75 percent of its flights on Thursday, with half of scheduled long-haul flights from Paris to be suspended.

It's also planning to operate 85 percent of its short-haul flights.

According to Air France, 28 percent of its workers, including pilots, flight and ground crews, would take part in the strike to demand better pay.

Meanwhile, it recommended its customers to postpone their trip or change their ticket at no extra cost, and to check their flights before going to the airport. Enditem
